1. Information we process

Information you provide for a song and artwork

When you create a song, you may provide a recipient’s name or nickname, relationship, occasion, personality details, memories, inside jokes, pronunciation notes, genre, mood, vocal preferences, language, and other creative instructions. We also process the lyrics you approve or ask us to rewrite.

If you choose to generate custom cover artwork or lyric visuals, you may optionally select reference photos from your device’s photo library.

Please only submit information and photos you have the right and consent to use. Avoid including sensitive personal information that is not needed to create the song or artwork.

Generated content

We process generated lyrics, audio, timing information, song titles, custom album cover artwork, and lyric visual images so your requested content can be delivered to your device.

Device permissions

The app requests access to your Photos library only when you choose to select reference photos for visual personalization or choose to save generated cover art and visuals directly to your device.

Purchases and subscription information

Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to help verify subscription status, purchases, entitlements, and credit balances. We may receive transaction and product identifiers, entitlement status, renewal information, and an app-specific anonymous customer identifier. We do not receive your payment-card details.

Support communications

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in the message or attachments.

Technical information

Our hosting and cloud service providers may automatically process limited network and request information, such as an IP address, request timestamp, device or browser type, diagnostic information, and security-related logs. We use this information to deliver, protect, and troubleshoot the Services.

2. How we use information

• Generate, rewrite, deliver, and play your requested lyrics and music.
• Generate and deliver personalized cover artwork and lyric visual scenes based on your inputs.
• Verify purchases, maintain subscription access, and calculate available credits.
• Respond to support and feedback requests.
• Secure the Services, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and maintain reliability.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process this information to perform our contract with you, pursue legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, comply with law, or act with your consent.

3. Song generation and service providers

Song details, optional reference photos, approved lyrics, and generation instructions are sent through our secure API server to third-party generative AI service providers to create lyrics, audio, cover artwork, and visual scenes. These providers process content on our behalf solely to fulfill your generation requests and may process related technical information under their applicable enterprise privacy and security commitments.

Our generation server is designed not to store or persist your text inputs, reference photos, or generated media after the request is completed. Requests and responses are marked with strict no-cache controls. Service providers may temporarily process or retain technical request logs for security, abuse prevention, reliability, or legal compliance according to their policies.

Other third-party providers include Apple for App Store distribution and in-app payments, RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management, and cloud infrastructure providers that host and secure our API services. You can review the privacy information published by Apple and RevenueCat.

4. Information stored on your device

Completed songs, audio files, lyrics, generated cover art, lyric images, song metadata, and credit activity are stored locally on your device. RoastBeats uses iOS data protection encryption for saved song and image files. Local information remains until you delete a song, remove the app, erase the device, or manage applicable device backups. Information included in an iCloud or device backup is controlled through your Apple settings.

5. When information may be shared

We may share information only as needed:

• With the service providers described above so they can perform necessary services for us.
• When you direct us to share content, such as by using iOS sharing, saving artwork to Photos, or exporting a song.
• To comply with law, legal process, or valid government requests.
• To protect users, the public, our rights, or the security and integrity of the Services.
• In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Retention

Song details, reference photos, and generation content are processed only for the duration of the request and are not stored in a persistent database after delivery. Locally saved songs and visual assets remain on your device as described above. Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Purchase and technical records are retained by the relevant providers according to their policies and our operational or legal needs.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network transport (HTTPS/TLS), no-store response controls, request payload size limits, and iOS hardware-backed file protection for saved media. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and privacy rights

You can choose what song details and photos to submit, manage photo library permissions in iOS settings, delete saved songs and artwork in the app, manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account, and remove locally stored app data by deleting the app. You may also ask us to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal information that we control, or object to certain processing, where those rights apply.

To make a privacy request, email ryanbijoy2727@gmail.com. Because RoastBeats does not require user accounts and generation inputs/outputs are not retained on our servers, we may not be able to identify or retrieve content from a completed generation request.

9. Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use the Services only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

10. International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services or applicable laws change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice in the app or through another appropriate method.
